Minnow is now part of Cubbie Club

There is a rashguard in your beach bag that has outlasted two summers, one pool membership and a toddler who treats sunscreen as a personal insult. It is probably Minnow. As of this week, Minnow is an official Cubbie Club partner, and members get 15% off a first order at shopminnow.com.
A Charleston company, like us
Minnow was born in Laguna Beach, where founder Morgan Smith, a mother of three with a background in premium product marketing, started designing the children’s swim she wanted and could not find: sun-kissed colors, custom prints, hand-finished production. She has since moved the family to the other coast, and Minnow now lives in Charleston, with its store at 145 King Street. Cubbie Club started in Charleston too, a few blocks and a few years apart, so this is the first partner we can walk to.
What Minnow does better than almost anyone is make swim a whole family can wear without looking like a uniform. The prints repeat from baby diaper covers through kids’ one-pieces and boardies to women’s and men’s styles, the fabric is UPF 50+ and soft enough that a two-year-old keeps the long sleeves on, and kids’ suits run about $58 to $68. The in-house Beach Market adds the rest of the beach day, from Coast Kids kites to raffia totes, so one order covers the trip.

The new drops: cashmere, and linen for the trip home
Minnow’s biggest launch of the fall landed on September 15, and it is not swim. The cashmere collection takes the brand’s best-selling knit shapes and remakes them in cashmere. For kids there is a unisex breton stripe crewneck at $148 and a girls’ pink button-front cardigan with patch pockets at $168, both in 2T through 11/12. For mom, the cropped crewneck comes in blue or breton stripe at $348 and the grey cardigan is $372, in XS to XL, and every women’s cashmere order ships with a sweater comb for the inevitable pilling. The stripe is the one to buy twice: the kids’ and women’s versions match, which is the whole Minnow idea carried into October.
Just behind it is a small run of white linen for the resort weeks: fully lined scalloped shorts at $128 and a scalloped beach pant at $198, cut to go over a swimsuit or under the cashmere. And in Beach Market, a Minnow x Coast Kids kite in the slate floral print is $25, the rare Minnow purchase a kid will carry to the car themselves.

The offer, and who should use it
Cubbie Club members get 15% off a first order at shopminnow.com. It is for new Minnow customers only and cannot be combined with other offers. If you have been waiting on a reason to try the rashguards before next summer, or you want the kids’ cashmere before the 2T sells out, this is it: 15% on a $148 sweater is the price of the matching sun hat. Cubbie Club earns a commission on purchases made through the offer, which is how the membership stays free.
