WonderFold built a Porsche. It seats four.

The zoo parking lot is a quarter mile from the zoo. You know this because you have carried a 35-pound child the whole way while pushing a stroller with a second child in it and a diaper bag swinging off the handle at an angle that says we are not okay. What Porsche did to a wagon

Underneath, it’s WonderFold’s L Series: four seats, a side-entry door so nobody gets lifted over the rail, a UPF 50+ canopy, and the frame that folds flat and stands on its own in the garage. On top, it’s the full treatment. Carbon-fiber-inspired fabric with red accent stitching, embossed crests on the seats, a faux-leather handlebar shaped after Porsche’s drive-mode dial, and the licensed Porsche crest on the rear wheels. There are LED headlights up front, a light in the rear basket, and a projector that throws the Porsche wordmark onto the ground in front of you, which is either absurd or the greatest thing you have ever seen, depending on how the evening at the fair is going.

The numbers

The wagon is $1,999 and comes with a Porsche all-weather mat and a Porsche power bank, which ships separately. The E-Assist wheels are a $799 upgrade, $2,599 all in. That adds a motor that helps on hills and long days, a remote on the handlebar, a removable battery that doubles as a phone charger, and the red brake calipers that make the whole thing read as Porsche from across the parking lot. It weighs about 57 pounds, carries 214 pounds of kids and gear, and each bench takes 100. It’s a special edition, sold while supplies last, on pre-order now at wonderfold.com, launching September 24.

Who this is for

If you already own an L Series and it works, keep it. The platform under the badge is the wagon you can already buy, and your kids will not notice the crest. If you are the family that hauls three or four kids to the beach, the pumpkin patch and the fireworks, and you have made peace with being the family everyone stops to ask about, this is the one, and the headlights are the useful part on the walk back to the car after dark. Get the e-assist wheels if your life has hills or sand. Skip them if your neighborhood is flat and your budget has feelings.
