Pipette made a face wash for a seven-year-old

Somewhere around second grade, a kid comes home with a skincare routine. Not from you. From a cousin’s phone, or the girl two rows up on the bus, and the products being asked for by name cost sixty-eight dollars and are formulated to undo thirty years of sun. On September 13 Pipette put up two bottles built for the face actually doing the asking: a Foamy Face Wash at $12.99 and a Jelly Face Cream at $14.99.
What’s in them, which is the point
The wash is 3.87 ounces, tear-free, pH-balanced, and comes out of a self-foaming pump, which is the difference between a kid washing their face and a kid moving a bottle around the counter. Its full ingredient list is printed on the page and runs to sixteen items: water, glycerin, two coconut-derived cleansers, sugarcane squalane, glycolipids, a vitamin B12 derivative, a preservative, and the citric acid that balances the pH. No retinol. No exfoliating acid. Nothing that belongs on a grown adult’s shelf.
The cream is 1.7 ounces of gel that disappears instead of sitting there — squalane, vitamins, antioxidants and plant-based humectants, labeled non-comedogenic, which matters more at nine than it does at three. Pipette says a pea-sized amount on face and neck. It’s faintly pink, and that isn’t dye: it’s the vitamin B12 in the formula. Both bottles smell like watermelon and hibiscus, both are EWG Verified, hypoallergenic, pediatrician approved, dermatologist tested and Leaping Bunny certified, and both are free of everything on the National Eczema Association’s irritant list, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicone and petrolatum included.

The bigger thing happening here
Pipette has spent years as a baby brand — the fragrance-free lotion, the balm, the mineral sunscreen. This is the first thing it has made for a kid’s face, and it lands a month after Frida shipped 32 body, hair and oral care products for ages 6 to 11 at $6.99 to $19.99. Two baby brands following the same customer up past the toddler years is not a coincidence. It’s the aisle nobody was stocking.
The prices, once
Foamy Face Wash, $12.99. Jelly Face Cream, $14.99. The Kids Face Duo bundles both for $25 against $27.98 apart, all at pipettebaby.com. Written for ages four and up, safe from day one. The face wash sold out once already, four days in, and was back when we checked Monday.
The one we’d buy
Buy the Jelly Face Cream. A warm washcloth already does most of what the cleanser does, and your kid has a body wash; what nothing in your bathroom does is sit light enough that a seven-year-old reapplies it without being asked twice. The duo saves $2.98, which is not a reason to buy two things. Skip all of it if your kid is four and has never mentioned their skin — this is a product for the week the asking starts, and buying it early just teaches a routine nobody requested. If your kid has been scratching at dry patches since the pool closed, the cream is the cheapest useful answer on the shelf.
