What's actually in it

Twenty-nine pieces across two prints. Rudolph's Snowy Adventure is the icy blue one, with Rudolph, Santa's sleigh, Bumble and lit trees scattered across it, and it runs from a preemie Zippy all the way to a men's pajama set in 3XL — which is the entire point of a print like this. The second print is the quiet one: a brown and cream stripe for newborns, with Rudolph's face on the bottom of the sleeper, where only you and the changing table will ever see it.

The prices, once

The range is $16 for a pet bandana to $80 for a Large Cloud Blanket. The numbers most people need: $36 for the Crescent Zippy in micro preemie through 9 months, $40 for the Snowy Adventure Zippy up to 3T, $42 for a two-piece set that goes to size 16, $36 to $42 for the adult tops and pants, $46 for a crib sheet, $48 for the knit sweater. The sleepwear is the brand's Lunaluxe bamboo — 95% viscose from bamboo, 5% spandex, cut snug per CPSC rules and never treated with flame retardants.

The lovey is the one that goes

The Rudolph Lovey is $30: a short-pile plush head with the red nose, on an 11-inch attached bamboo blanket. Little Sleepies capped it at two per print per order for the first 24 hours of the release, which is a brand telling you out loud what it expects to happen. One thing to know before you fill a cart from another country: the Rudolph collection ships to the United States and Canada only.

The one we'd buy

If there's a baby arriving before December, the $36 Crescent Zippy is the buy. A brown stripe still reads as an ordinary sleeper in February, which is more than you can say for a sleigh. If you're only here for the photo, the $40 Zippy was the one to get, and by Wednesday morning it was sold out in every size, along with the $80 blanket. The two-piece pajama set and one adult top get you the same picture. The pet bandana is a decision you can make in your own time. And if your kid has never actually seen the stop-motion special, put it on first. Buying pajamas for a reindeer they can't name is how you end up with $40 of very specific laundry.
